Angus here with some West Coast updates. Bob McKenzie is reporting that Sean Avery would love to be a Maple Leaf, and the feeling is mutual. Now that would be interesting.  Interesting thought... Columbus is after Brendan Morrison, and both Bertuzzi and Naslund are unrestricted. Does a team dare to re-unite the West Coast Express?  Pierre [...]

Edmonton has acquired Lubomir Visnovsky from LA. Going the other way is Jarret Stoll and Matt Greene. Brian Rolston's rights have been dealt to Tampa Bay. Malone-Stamkos-Rolston. Not too shabby. Adam Foote has re-signed with the Avalanche on a two year deal. He will make $3 million per. John-Michael Liles has re-signed with Colorado. He signed a four-year [...]

TSN: "The Calgary Flames announced Friday that the team has re-signed centres Craig Conroy and Daymond Langkow, left wing Eric Nystrom and goaltender Curtis McElhinney." This is not unexpected, as they were just waiting for the salary cap info.  TSN: "The Dallas Stars announced Friday that the club has signed left wing Loui Eriksson to [...]

With the NHL's announcement that the salary cap is $56.7 million and the floor is $40.7 million, look for a lot of announcements shortly - as teams such as the Flames were holding back the official announcement of a contract with Daymond Langkow until the cap was announced.  Martin Straka has not officially signed to play [...]

Angus here, whats up gang. Scott Niedermayer will be confirming his return, possibly as early as tomorrow. The source is the Ducks official blog on their site. Will be very interesting to see how they handle RFA-to-be Corey Perry.  The Newsday out of New York is reporting that Jay Bouwmeester is unhappy with the Jokinen [...]
