Andrej Meszaros signed for six years with TB at $24 million. His presense will help Carle in a big way, freeing him up for more rushes as I assume the two will play together. The Guide will be updated later today, probably early in the afternoon. Just getting the Meszaros stuff translated. The Draft List should be [...]

The Blue Jackets have signed skilled winger Maxim Mayorov to a three-year entry-level contract. He is still a couple of years away, but still - this news will push him way up the Fantasy Prospects List (he is currently ranked 131). Once promising defenseman Mark Popovic has signed to play in the KHL next season.  Those of you with a lot of Avs holding their breath can rest easy now. Joe Sakic will be back for one more year. Essentially, that means that the likes of Stastny, Smyth, Hejduk and Liles will see the offense expected of them. Without Sakic, it may have meant a 5% drop (or more). The [...]

 Naslund, Bertuzzi and Morrison

The once vaunted trio of Markus Naslund, Brendan Morrison, and Todd Bertuzzi are now all located on different NHL clubs – none of them being Vancouver. From 2002-2004, they dominated the Western Conference and the rest of the NHL on a nightly basis. All three are coming off disappointing seasons and are looking to rebound in new environments. Will it happen? Read on…
