I'm almost laughing watching this crazy overtime period with him going up against the Nashville PP. He looked like he was going to fall over like a sack of potatoes from the Predators shooting gallery.

Unbelieveable storyline to the game and very inspiring to watch Mason work so hard for something he has waited for for a long time.

The onus has fallen on Manny Legace to keep his job. This is the type of game that gets Mason back on track and going on a nice streak for a week or two.

Did you see Andy Murray's reaction shot on Versus right before they cut to commercial?? Shake of the head. That's when you know you just saw an unbelievable performance from one player that totally stole a game. Tonight it was Mason!

And if you listened to his interview after the game...I found it REALLY interesting how he said it was more important for him to block out the MENTAL pressure that comes with playing your former team, rather than focusing on the players and their tendencies.

Just goes to prove something I said in Dobber Nation ... when it comes to the NHL and the numerous backups/youngsters in the game ... talent and technical play is less important than mental strength and focus!!!

Shit! I ponied up to the bar and drank the Kool-Aid: playing for this year and currently in first place in my Yahoo League. But with Lu's injury and the premium our league places on G, I just dropped Radulov (was using him as trade bait to a rebuilding team anyway) and grabbed Mason. Might be a dumb short-term move. Or not. I think JD has every intention of Mason being the starter next year.

Regardless of Mason's shutout, I bet the Blues go with Manny Legace tomorrow against Colorado...mainly because he's 13-2-0 lifetime against the Avalanche or something insanely good like that hahaha.

I'll be at the game...maybe they'll take a chance and go back with Mason, but the way the Avs are playing right now you could put a water cup in net and it would post a shutout for the Blues
