Cole's linemates?

has anyone heard or thought of what might be eric cole's linemate in EDM?.. will he play with hemsky and/or penner??
let me know if you have heard or rumors or just opinions.. thanks dobber nation!!

My guess is he will play with Horcoff and Hemsky.

I agree this is most likely.

Never really crossed my mind he would play with Hemsky and Horcoff - I kind of assumed that would be Penner's spot. Hmmmm!

Mind you I don't think alot about Edmonton - guess it's time to start paying attention - huh?

Any of you Oils fans hear any news on Souray? I think he might be a mini-sleeper in 1 year pools. Underline mini

It should be interesting to see how the Oilers lineup will change this year.
They had so many guys injured last year that the young guys were forced into more playing time while developing strong chemistry together (Gagner/Cogliano/Nilson).
Now this year everyone will start the year healthy again and Cole and Brule are now in the mix.

Even as a devoted Oiler fan, I am having trouble guessing what the line combos will be. I think Cole would fit in anywhere in the top 6. Hemsky and Horcoff have great chemistry and Penner was a decent fit on that line last year. With Stoll gone I think they hope to move Gagner to full time second line center.

Cole Gagner Nilson
Pisani Cogs Brule
Moreau Brodziak Stortini/Pouliot/Schremp/ect...

As a side note, I have heard that Souray has been training hard and is back to 100%. While I think he is still a risk to get injured, I think adding Vishnovsky will give him the PP QB he has been missing since he left Markov in MTL.

He will get a look with Hemsky and Horcoff, as he is a much better fit for that line than Penner in my opinion.

I don't see Cogliano Gagner Nilsson getting broken up either. Penner may even slot in with Brodziak (big time underrated) and Pisani on the third line.

I agree that Cole may be a better fit than Penner on the top line, I just don't see where else Penner fits in. He needs Horcoff and Hemmer to get him the puck in front of the net. I don't think Cole needs their support like Penner does.

Unless they resign Reasoner to center the forth line, I think they may need to break up the kid line to fill out the centers. I agree that Brodziak is underated and should get more minutes, but they need to bring in a forth line center for that to happen.

one small note: i heard on edmonton radio that there is a good chance that brule starts in the AHL. i think dobber said something similar... the only place available for him is on the 4th line and that won't help his development at all.

How do you see the 3rd and 4th lines?

Don't forget about Potulny as a center. Very underrated and if given a chance, he could really surprise.
