Bobby Ryan and the first line

Bobby Ryan has really come on as of late. He is getting a lot of points since being called up again and is averaging around 4.5 shots a game. With Corey Perry being out he has taken over on line one and the the Ducks are starting to look like they have some offense again...

Any chance he stays on L1 with Getzalf even after Perry returns to the line up?

If he keeps playing like this why not really. The Ducks lines have been really strange this year if you think about it.

The Second line 5v5 has been non existent when the Teemu was there. All his goals but 1 believe came on the PP. So his goal total can be misleading.

Ryan was responsible for having people look at George Parros as a fantasy option

If he gels with the top line in the 4 games that Perry is out and they rattle of some wins why not try it. How can you take him off it especially if they go 4-0 in the stretch. Keep in mind that it was Pheonix that they played last game as well. Lets review this after the 4 games.

Heres a kid who gets drafted 2nd overall next to sid, finally has his first real chance this year, gets next to no time to play, and is playing on the 3/4 lines and is able to manage almost a point a game and is still be questioned whether he deserves to be on the top line.

If he were on almost any other team I cant imagine him not being in the ranks with some of the other top young guys in the league.

I think the Ducks have been smart to take their time with him, though. Their patience will pay off when Ryan becomes a star power forward in 2-3 years.

That move he put on that D for his 3rd goal was absolutely ridiculous...so ridiculous Anaheim thought the only way they could win was to keep Ryan out there. He tripple shifted at one point and logged over 23 playing minutes.

I dont think there is a question anymore, Bobby Ryan is an emerging superstar and Anaheim is going to treat him as such.

But with the statement of anaheim treating him as such I question. You think hes going to stick on the getzlaf line even after selane and perry are back?

I hope that happens. Maybe Sellane will have some to play with on that 2nd line when he returns (Perry or knuts).
