I might be able to run the rosters through a sim (NHL08 or something similar). I think it would be interesting to see.

Hey doulos,
Congrats on 2K! If you find the time that would be great. Obviously the guys who've taken prospects over proven talent will be at a disadvantage for the first season.
It would still be interesting.

I'll see if its even really feasible to do it in terms of time. If not on NHL08, then maybe I can find some other sim to run it on.
I once ran a sim tournament of the top 128 teams of all time in the NHL. They all played head to head best of 7 series and I kept track of team records and scoring using whatifsports.com.
It was quite the interesting simulation to say the least.

How many rounds are you guys drafting. NHL09 comes out fairly soon, but I was also thinking I might use a different sim so that I could start adding players now.

NHL09 should hit the shelves around about a week or so from now (it's always later up north here), and then I can see how feasible it might be to put these rosters into the game and run a season.

Well I got NHL09 today, I'll start trying to create the team rosters (not sure if I'll have to do it all in one sitting or not, if so then this won't be doable for me)
