Straight up. I am really torn on this. Osully is producing more but Staal has some insanely high draft pedigree. Is this just needless risk taking or is there some merit to considering this.

Another vote to keep Sully. I'll admit I'm bias as an O'Sully owner, however he's not a 3rd line centre stuck behind two of the best in the game at that position.
One thing to keep in mind as well:
When Crosby went down to injury last year, Staal was given more opportunity but did not produce.
Cheers.

Patty O is on a the cusp of busting out...and the only way this is really a tough call, is if Stall is on the trade block. In Pittsburgh he is buried and won't see the significant minutes he needs to become the dominant center he can be in a different situation.

whats with all you guys? no one read that there is a VERY good chance staal will be left wing this year where he scored 29goals his first year. They shift him to 3rd center and he didn't do so hot....chances are if they want to beable to sign him next year, they'll want him to be happy.
WITH THIS SAID, I still like O'sullivan too...but its so close you can't go wrong.
Oh and Staal lead the pens in ice time in the playoffs near end. more then hossa, malkin, crozz
big body in front of net for PP now that malone is gone.
as we speak i have to change my sig, i just acquired jordan in a trade RIGHT NOW...hahaha

dont believe everything you read, IMO his 2 way play is too good to pass up, moving him to LW might benefit his stats but not the team as a whole, which do yoiu think will win

Haha sorry ddpdaver, I can't agree. I plan on making a trade once the season open to get O'Sullivan, I love the guy. I really like Staal too, he helped me out bigtime two years ago, but you jsut cant deny facts.
IF Staal played wing all year along Crosby, then he would be the choice, but O'Sullivan has proven chemistry on the top line with Kopitar and will almost guaranteed get the spot. Staal will not start with the spot, and if he gets it will not likely retain it with Therien.
Staal will be a good player osmesay, but I just don't see it on Pittsburgh, so it will be a few years before he's fantasy gold in my opinion.

I certainly think O'sullivan is the safer bet....but don't be counting Staal out...29goals with minimal ice time 2 years ago. yes...playing left wing...where he will this year... talbot will be 3rd line center mark my words.
