Not a chance chum - that is a losing proposition. The only real upgrade you get is at D and that isn't going to be enough to cover the loss at the forwards.

Along about any game now Kovalchuk is going to start pulling the trigger and you will understand. I think the Thrashers are starting to gel around him.

I like Rolston with Elias as well.

Honestly... I say this is a trade where I take advantage of moving Kovalchuk's name. I'd way rather have a guy, who I think will lead D-men in points for the next couple years, with Mueller who will be a top scorer in the NHL within 3 years, and Bernier who will be the only good keeper in an LA unit who is in need of a top GK.

Really you're moving him for a top goal scorer. Kovalchuk shoots a lot and scores a lot, but doesn't put up enough assists or a good enough +/- to put up with him. Corvo is an OLD veteran, not super old, but old enough to not be a good keeper option, who is definitely not going to put up more than 55 points and could potentially have terrible plus minus if he plays top pair. Rolston is great hockey player. He isn't a good fantasy player. If you're in a deep 30 team league, he'd be a good role player. Take Green, Meuller and Bernier UNLESS the only thing you need to win the league is a TOP goalscorer, a fill in defenseman and a soon-to-be NHL goaltender.
