Voracek: comments - a top six role is his to lose; a stronger, more developed Voracek plans to take it starts - 2nd Line RW/2nd PP Unit finishes - 2nd Line RW/ 2nd PP Unit floor - 35 points ceiling - 60 points
Backlund: comments - needs to prove himself at the big camp; will be one of the last cuts but will be convinced to play in the AHL starts - AHL finishes - cup of coffee in the NHL floor - 0 points ceiling - 10 points
Matthias: comments - an inconsistent Weiss will allow Matthias to take the #1 C and form an intimidating 1-2 punch with Horton starts - 2nd Line C/2nd PP Unit finishes - 1st Line C/1st PP Unit floor - 40 points ceiling - 65 points
Hornqvist: comments - brass will bring in an unsuitable replacement for Radulov, ruining Hornqvist's hopes of a top 6 to start the season but he will show he can be an effective NHL sniper by season's end starts - 3rd Line finishes - 2nd Line RW/2nd PP Unit floor - 25 points ceiling - 40 points (20-25 goals)
Makarov: comments - unfortunately there will be no room for this russian talent this season but hopefully he will realize he will get more playing time in the AHL then Russia and stay on this side of the pond; if so, when Havlat gets hurt (notice I didn't say "if") Makarov will get his shot starts - Russia finishes - Russia floor - who cares ceiling - who cares

Voracek 35-45 pts. I think he has 80 pt potential very soon. Backlund 0 pts. WHL bound, he needs ice time. Matthias 40-50 pts. He's NHL ready but Florida roster is weak. Hornqvist 30-40 pts. I predict a hot start and then he'll cool off. Makarov 10-15 pts. Too much competition on Chicago. I cant see him breaking the top 6. Hes not ready. He'd be better off in the AHL.
