With 146 NHL games under his belt, i doubt Johnson is a prospect either ... and with a 7 goal, 21 assist record over those 146 games, i'd say he's worthless.

I'd jump on Gaustad if it is really cheap.

O'Marra is being turned by the Oilers into a 3rd line, shut down and PK center and face-off specialist, and in the latter stages of last season it looked as if he had finally accepted this rather than try to reject and fight this as in the beginning of the season. Also, he apparently had injury issues in junior which slowed down his progress, especially in terms of the 'little things' and his defensive play. He may still have hope, and this season will tell, especially the +/- and games played stats. If you have room on your roster he could be worth sticking on it for a year just to see how he'll do, but i wouldn't spend anything to get him. if the other GM is clearing roster spots to get under the roster limits, don't spend anything on him. He may well be waived by Summer's end.

Medvec - I own him in a 2000 player keeper where 5 PIMs = 1 point, and i still couldn't get anyone to flip me a 5th (and last) round pick for him. He'll be waived by summer's end to make for roster room. He could turn into a good physical shutdown D in the NHL, but he's got no fantasy value.

Pokulok - his numbers throughout his career suggest a shutdown guy with little offense as well. Little to no fantasy value.

I won't provide you with an in depth analysis like fzusher did (a great one though), but I would definitely tells you to jum on Gaustad. He just signed a 4 years contracts ans should get around 35-40 pts next season.

Yeah, Gaustad is the only one worth picking up. More of a bench player for even deep pools though. I think the other guys are write-offs.

Gaustad should be your guy.. But none of these guys really have enough value to warrent other than him..

Johnson did have some upside.. but never really amounted to something.. I also think he signed to play in the KHL.. Not sure on it..
