personally, taking into consideration upside and NHL certainty, I would rate them as such:
1. A. Nodl = I think he is the best offensive prospect on this list...I've seen him play several times and he could force his way on a crowded Philly team in the next few years...
2. B. Wheeler = A Penner comparison may not be too far off...however, despite a sub-75 point upside, he's the closest and his upside isn't awful by any means...
3. B. Salcido = I've watched him a few times and he has the talent, but more importantly to me, he has the opportunity...I like him a lot and thought I was very lucky when I drafted him in the 5th round...
4. J. Skille/A. Esposito/M. Santorelli: I don't know how to rate these guys. Skille seems destined to be a 3rd liner with okay upside on Chicago, but I don't think he is as talented as many of the other players in front of him. Esposito is the most talented of the three but has attitude/work deficincies...and Santorelli seems like he has the upside and the opportunity and I haven't heard of any glaring weaknesses, but it is Nashville and I can't say I trust their pipeline, unless its a d-man...i'll go out on a limb and say the order goes: Santorelli, Esposito, Skille...
Lastly, I can't say I know much about Legein, but if he is a pest with a little goal scoring touch, I say you can find him elsewhere, get rid of him...

Thanks for the input guys.....
This is how I had it:
Wheeler Skille Nodl Salcido Espo Legein Santorelli
Perhaps I need to re-think things....
I would rank them the exact same way, taking into account not only upside, but the probability of actually hitting that upside.

If your team needs D and he is available i think Salcido would be a good 2nd or 3rd round pick (not sure how Dman crazy your league is). Like others said he has a great opportunity to make it and stick this year. (Dobber says not with Scott Neidermeyer signing)
I actually like him the best on this list. Not for total points, but for NHL certainty and defensive upside.

Well thanks to everyone who chipped in with then great comments and observations. I am sure it has helped many! Traded Wheeler and Legein today for David Backes (Thanks Mark! ). I probably lost long term, but my team is one that should be gearing to contend within the next two years.

No worries Aaron. It's a trade that works for us both given our respective keeper situations. Only hard part was that I plan on taking a serious run at the title this year and Backes was a good depth forward for me. Couldn't protect them all though... I guess we're both busted now
