What point production (AHL, under 30, 30+, 40+, 50+, etc.) do you realistically expect from these forward players and prospects in each of the 3 seasons following this one (09-10, 10-11, 11-12)?
Phil Kessell (BOS) James Sheppard (MIN) Steve Downie (PHI) Nick Foligno (OTT) Dan Paille (BUF) Kris Versteeg (CHI) Kyle Chipchura (MTL) Matt Beleskey (ANA) Nick Spaling (NSH)
Thanks,

Out of those guys, I think Kessel has the best chance to make a difference to your fantasy team this year. If PIMS are rewarded, maybe Downie. Phil One Nut: 50+ I keep remembering that awesome goal he scored in the playoffs last year. 90 point potential, but that is 4 years away. Sheppard: Good player, but I think you should be happy with 30+ for next next year. 3 years of adding 8-10 points to the total then BAM! 80 points. Downie has talent. He will get you the PIMs. In 32 games he scored 6 goals. Not too shabby for a guy who is supposed to be a goon who is ruining hockey... I think that if Giroux proves himself unready for the NHL, Downie will play on the 3rd line and could potentially score 15 goals. If they keep Briere, Richards and Carter all at the center position, maybe more... I have a feeling someone will be moved to the wing (Briere). 35-45 points this year. Eventually 50-60 points. Foligno will play in the show, but will score less than 30. He will peak at 60ish at best. Paille was never a big scorer, even in the minors. Despite that he managed to put up 35 points. Impressive, but dont expect him to go bananas. 35-40 points. Career role player. Versteeg is caught in a numbers game. He wont see a lot of ice unless there are injuries. Enter Havlat... Even still, he wont score that much. 30-40 points this year. Chipchura was drafted high, but I'm not sure why. He was never a real big scorer, but he will be a good two way player. 30+ points. Beleskey... who? Just kidding... He has one good year in junior. He wont be near the NHL in the next few years. Ditto Spaling. I wouldnt be drafting Beleskey or Spaling unless I was in a real, real big league. cheers, AW

Thanks Atomic Wedgy. Should have specified - will edit the original post - that I am interested in what they do in each season separately - I am trying to estimate their progress path in the next few years to figure out where I am each of these seasons and which season would be best for me to target.
In my league, given its depth and cap requirement, forwards begin to have value at the lower end of the depth chart once they hit the 30 point mark, though of course you can't have most of your team getting only 30 points.
