Talk about an unknown star. Never see him, never hear about him yet at age 21 he is a star in the making. What production do you see him ending the year at and what is his potential upside? Currently has 11 gols and 22 assists

he's well known around these parts bluejaka. he is worth a fair bit in a one-year league but is absolute money in a keeper. like you said, he's 21.
i think he will start to pick it up soon. the kings as a team need to pick it up and as kopitar goes, so do the kings.
right now, he is a buy-low candidate.

Agree, he is a buy low. Then wait and watch the dividens when the team learns to produce again. This guy has all the talent and no one on the team stands in his way. He is the undoubted #1 Center.

You hit the nail on the head. This guy will out-preform most of his draft class and gets nowhere near the respect of someone like a Stastny. His upside is huge and you can expect him to put up 60-70 points next year with a ceiling of 90+.

So you draft/aqcuire a guy who had a 20 goal, 60+ point rookie season. Then you protect him early on and he goes on to score 77 with 32 goals. Am I track so far? Hmmm- so far so good- not sure what there is to be impatient about.
This year hes on pace for a disappointing 63. Step back?Certainly, but not terrible for a 3rd year drafted 11th. In fact its not impossible to think he steps up his pace and finishes with another 70+ season, and I might add- on a very weak looking LA team. At 22 hes had an absolutely tremendous career and indications point to him being an absolute steal at 11th. If Stamkos had this kind of career path I think owners would be ecstatic at this point and he was a 1st overall!
My question is what more were you expecting out of him??!! Lol- next year would seem like a very good breakout possibility, but I have to argue that if he ends up at 75 with 30+ goals again- you'd have to be nuts to drop him.

I have to agree with everyone on this page thus far although I do have a bias opinion as I am a Kopitar owner. He may not get 70 pts this year but I guarantee that he'll get 70+ pts next season. Young players usually are up and down for the first few seasons.

I got him last year. Protected him for this slow and painful season.
I can't drop him, but he is costing me. I do believe the reward will be worth it, but if it doesn't happen next year, I don't know what I'll do.
