That was a huge crock of BS right there.
And to top it all off, the 'official' explanation is that the video was not conclusive enough to override the washout on the ice. There was no washout on the ice - all the ref did was stop the play, no washout. Ridiculous.

Yea I agree that it should have been a goal, but if the rule is that there has to be video evidence that shows the puck is 100% across the line then it was the right call, there was no such proof.

it was the right call, though. Called no goal right away, which meant there had to be CONCLUSIVE evidence that the puck fully crossed the line. It was definitely over when it was under his glove, but you need to be able to see it.

yeah there is no question that was a goal...I was kicked off HFBoards (official reason 'trolling') on the Flyers board for suggesting as much, thats how stupid the moderators are over there, if you even propose a non-homer argument they write you up and kick you off. I can't imagine how completely warped your reality would have to be to not call that a goal...I fully agree that given the no-call on the ice I can appreciate the rationale from the war room, but that puck was in the net, period

I didn't see the no goal call on the ice - the ref held both hands up in the air signaling a stoppage, with no washout.
