http://news.sport-express.ru/online/ntext/25/nl253941.htmlIf you recall, earlier this summer, after the tentative no-poaching agreement arrived at in Zurich fell apart over disagreement on whether it applied to the Radulov signing, the KHL has decided on a self-imposed ban on making offers to players with NHL contracts and had recently extended it 'until the next time an NHL team signs a player with a KHL contract'.
Well, according to Medvedev (KHL president) in an interview during a match yesterday, Voinov and Loktionov have KHL contracts, so their recent signing by LA violates the Zurich agreement.
As a result, according to Medvedev, KHL teams should now view themselves as free to agree to terms with players with NHL contracts.
However, he recommends that KHL teams refrain from doing this until after a Sept. 6th meeting Medvedev has scheduled for consultations with the heads of the IIHF.
On a funnier note, the large part of the interview, which i didn't even bother reading in full, had to do with the KHL's first ever waiver draft, which took place the day before, and in which no player was taken by any team
