Don't know if this will work, but I thought maybe if everybody would chip in with details on a game that they watched, valuable info could be spread. Hopefully we could make one every weekend or every night if enough people participates. I don't think we'll get enough people though, but here goes.

I watched CHI vs WSH.

Theodore recovered. Positioning was weak at times for sure, but he was solid enough to get the W.

Ovechkin was his usual self. Played on the PK too and had one dangerous rush.

Semin and Nylander's line looked good. Fedorov has speed and would be good for 40 points and more if he was on the 2nd line.

Didn't follow CHI or Kane very much, but he was a big minus.

Khabibulin was adequate. Possible screening on both OV8's goals.

Today was the annual woodchopping day with my family. Only caught bits and pieces of Tor/Mon.

Watching Vancouver-Calgary now. Good hitting and a goal a piece just minutes into the game.

Thanks. I only checked ESPN's box score and his IT was 0:00 there, so I started wondering if his demotion to the 3rd line went even deeper.

Sure enough, he was. Unless NHL.com is wrong. Link.

Wow.

Rick Nash had not one but two shorthanded breakaways and shot wide on both. Then he whiffed on a PP chance at the side of the net. For a guy that is SUCH a goalscorer that is very unusual.

As a word of note, I really like Russel's chances for some points this year if he can stick on the top pp unit in Columbus. He looks great up there.

Winnik might be edging out some of Carcillo's PIMs this year as I think Gretzky might be working hard to get some more non-PIM production from Carcillo.

I watched Mon -Tor

Montreal's PP is better - at least it looked it against the Leafs. Many times they made tape to tape through 3 of the leafs in the box. !st PP was Tanguay and Markov on points, Lang, Koivu and SK up front, and they did all the damage. Tanguay is a huge step up on Streit. Often they ended up with 4 down low and only Markov on the line

Hamrlik on point for pp2 bears watching

Latendresse also - esp. as long as Higginss is out, he was a force

Halak was very strong - fun to watch cause he's small and a lot more active than Price.

Leafs were weak - Grabovsky and Kulemin had a couple of chances but you could tell Grabovsky was trying too hard to show up Montreal.

Toskala is their only hope

Coliacovo almost wrecked his knee(s) again - hope no one picked him- he's cursed.

Rookies averaging two minutes of TOI . Seriously, give the kids a chance.

Voracek, as an example, is probably the 2nd best player on that team (behind Nash) and if he was given top minutes he could dominate the stats board (and, perhaps rival Nash for top player on that team)...honestly, someone slap Hitchcock in the face...give him some icetime...he's already proved himself...with 4th line minutes he's only leading the team in points. Gee wiz. Im watching the game right now and, in the few shifts hes had, Voracek is dominating the puck. Come on! Open up your eyes Hitchcock you douchebag.

Don't even get me started with Stamkos. Boy that kid's confidence level must be the lowest in the league right now. The singer of the national anthem averaged more time on ice (literally).

...and thats my weekly rant.
