I hate the first 2 weeks

From a fantasy hockey standpoint I really hate the first two weeks of the NHL season. I second guess all of my picks, my hand hovers over the Waiver Pickup button and I feel like I am going to end up dead last in every hockey pool.

Thank goodness I can just sit and watch hockey.

I just go nuts over my players not getting proper position eligibility.

Ya, this morning I was last in both my pools.

Just be happy you didn't drop Voros right before the season started in a H2H league for Peca to shore up your FW.

Mind you, Peca did pretty much win me the PIMS category.

Hah yeah too bad he might end up taking the next 20 games off. (though I doubt it will be that long)

I hate the first 2 weeks, the first one especially. Random people like Tkachuk, Holmstrom, McDonald & Voros play at levels that you know they have no shot at keeping up, and lead the league in certain offensive categories. This makes you second guess your team and not look at the big picture. Then, it brief moments of insanity you actually think Voros may be a better option for you than Marian Hossa or you think Zherdev for Alfredsson just might actually be a fair deal.

I cant wait for nature to even itself out. My team is playing like dog shit and in 9th place, but I know my team is definitely one of the best in the league and will be top 3 by the all-star break.

Holmstrom can keep it up, the only reason he didn't last year was because he got injured. People always look down on him but the fact is is that you can't move him when he's in front of the net. That's why he gets so many goals. If he can stay healthy he's a great late round pick.

Tkachuk may surprise people this year. I think he has a lot more left in the tank than people give him credit for. Last year he was playing center also, and this year he is being moved back to LW. McDonald may be able to score 80 points again as well.

Voros, Holmstrom, Zherdev though? Based on your logic of Zherdev, maybe I will put him on the block! Thanks for the heads up.

You guys are missing my point. Im just trying to say that crazy shit happens and inferior teams usually get very lucky at this time of the year. That wont be the case in December/January/February.

Blueblood: Do you realistically think Holmstrom is going be a league leader in goals scored in March? I doubt it. He's a very average player with injury risks.

Duballstar: I doubt McDonald has 80 point potential, but if you do, God Bless. We've all got guys we hope reach pretty steep expectations. Just think about how few people scored 80+ points last year. Do you think he produce on a level with guys like Ovechkin, Thornton, Malkin, Zetts, Kovalev, Gaborik? I dont think so.

As for those other guys, I hope you're being serious because they should be nothing more than early season trade bait.
