Canucks win as Burrows mishandles puck

Man the canucks have the Flames number this eyar so far, where extremely lucky in the 1st game that the flames didn't score in the 1st period on their 4 or 5 chances on 2man advantage and now tonight they win as Burrows mishandles the puck and it slides to Demitra for the winner.
The Canucks do look better this year with more team speed and skill but not this good, they will fall to earth soon.

Burrows shouldn't even have been on the ice.
Refs completely missed that tripping call a few seconds earlier.
But being a 'nucks fan, I'll take the four out of possible four points from the H&H, and look ahead to Washington.

yea that was a pretty lucky goal in OT, but i think its a bit of a stretch to say the nucks were lucky in the first game. They thrashed the flames in every aspect of the game.

I wouldnt call coming back from a 2 goal deficit and then a 1 goal deficit going into the 3rd lucky...
The Canucks battled all night long... The flames were lucky that Luongo had a bad first 2 periods or the game could of been a lot different.
Burrows drove to the net hard and demitra just so happen to be at the right spot to put the puck home... Good determination by Burrows for sure.

The refs missed a lot of calls... and called alot of playe that should of been called...

It did look like he mishandled the puck...but when I re-watched the play, he did see Demitra...and slid it over to him.

That Burrows trip should've been called. Refs SHOULD have been looking for a "make up" call on Bertuzzi's "hit" - thats was a BS call. Who cares though. My Wings are on a their first winning streak (of many, unless of course, they ride this streak straight to the cup!)  |

I'll have to watch both plays again - the missed penalty and the goal. Tough to say if the Calgary player slipped or was tripped, but Burrows certainly looked like he bobbled the puck, not slid it.
