Just some random playoff stats I've stumbled across... Let's start with goalies... Martin Biron has faced the most shots in the playoffs 515... that's over 31 shots/game...however that's not even close to the most shots/game faced that belongs to Dan Ellis, who faced 40 shots/game in the Wings series and still came out with a league leading .938 Sv%... now that's SICK. The 240 shots Ellis has faced is 2 more shots than Osgood has faced in the 11 games he's appeared in thus far in the playoffs. Osgood 1.62 and Fleury 1.84 lead in GAA... very fitting both teams or on the brink of facing each other for Lord Stanley. Hasek has the worst SV % in the playoffs .888... well technically second worst Brian Boucher came in for 2 mins for SJ and gave up 1 goal on 1 shot. Looking at the Skaters: Zetterberg 4 SHP's has matched or beaten the total productivity of players such as: Michalek, Markov, Streit, Stasny, Hagman, and Cleary... The top 6 out of 8 players in +/- are Red Wings... the other two, are no not Pens, but Flyers (Umberger +9, Jones +7) Worst +/- goes to Paul Martin with a -8 ... in 5 games... OUCH... followed by Sakic at -7, and a log game at -6. A couple of Flyers lead the way in PIM with 44 and 40 (Upshall, D.Hatcher respectively) next closest is S.Veilleux at 27?? Lady Byng soon to be winner P.Datsyuk has 0 PIM to go with his 18 pts. next closest with 0 PIM are a couple of Joe's Sakic (10 pts) and Pavelski (9 pts). Both of Stu Barnes' goals have been GWG, while 3 out of Modano's 5 talies have ended games, same goes for Pavelski. If either of those two score at Joe Louis Arena.. could be a game 6 to be had. 0 of Datsyuk's 8 goals, and M.Richard's 7 goals have been winners thus far in the playoffs. Best SH% 5 goals or more: Brunette .278 Umberger .256 Franzen .250 Worst shooters (goals-shots): Gabby 0-25, Kennedy 0-28, Cleary 1-35, Shanny 1-30, Samuelsson 2-55.
