Everytime I log in it seems I have one less karma LOL. At one point, had 12 and now have 6. I must be despised around these parts for reasons unknown.

Yes Karma matter for me. For me it's a Big thank you from the guy who received my comments. It's always great to find that some comments are appreciated. Karma -1 should not exist. Comments are personnal.

Ok guys, Im sorta new here, but been on the boards alot the past 3 days since I joined up on this damn awesome site!! Im not sure I understnad the " Karma" though, what does it mean/do?

I don't give a shit, and to be honest I usually piss at least one person a month off and they go thru the typical karma hatred phase docking me every 6 hours, but usually unless they're extremely petty they get bored almost as quickly and give that up before long.
The one thing I like about it is that its nice to have someone give you a "thank you" for providing some good advice, its a nice touch I think, it makes it worth the abuse I think.

hockeytown, karma is a way of thanking a poster for good advice or anything else you appreciate. check out the little thumbs up / thumbs down buttons on the top right of each post. it is meant to be a way to rank someone's helpfulness, but it can be misused. some guys get their karma hammered for very petty reasons, and some like me just talk so much that it's inevitable we get lucky every now and then. har.
