I was just wondering why there was no mentioning of Peter Schaefer (or did I miss it?) in the What’s Brewing in Beantown article from the other day. I have Schaefer in a pretty deep league (14 teams, 30 player rosters) and was just wondering if there was anything left for him to contribute to my team next season. Other than that, great article, lol.  |

He's extremely overpaid. No chance he plays top six minutes, unless it is in Providence.

He is overpaid, but really, even 30 points or a 30 point pace would be enough for me to keep him in this league. There's got to be a shot that he gets bought out after camp or even dealt to a Nashville or something...so I might as well hold on to him until someone better shows up to take his spot out of FA.
I mean, he can't be unuseable, right? Come on, the guy is 30 and is a year removed from back to back 45+ point campaigns. I'm using him in a deep league that is full of offensive stat cats, anything you can get from your players makes you that much better in this league...depth is the name of the game. Is there really no hope here with Schaefer?

if 30 points is good enough in your league - I could probably fire you off a list of 50 names to take over Schaefer. His upside isn't good at all, and Boston is deep as hell at wing. Lots of great sleepers out there - shoot me a reply or an email if you want some.
