Top 10 Keepers Article???

Why is this SOOOOOOO different then the top 10 of the top 300 keep players list?
I recently traded Hossa for Thornton.. so, who's got the better player? I thought I did for sure (and still do).. but your new top 10 article is saying that I'm wrong..
Thoughts?

part of the reason might be that dobber's top 300 list is based on his own league's rules... no wing/center differentiation i believe, and not roto/h2h (i think). correct me if i'm wrong big D!
anyway, i think it's a pretty awesome list. not really a single name i would remove. i suppose the luongo/lundqvist/nabokov debate continues to get more foggy every year.
and peter b.... thornton or hossa totally depends on your particular league. points only with no positions, thornton is the clear winner. add positions and other categories and it gets interesting... i would probably rather have hossa.

Only thing I would change is Nabby.
I would take Lundy, Fleury and Price over Nabby in a multi cat keeper.

Cats are in my sig, I'm thinking that Thornton will have more points this year, and probably from here on out (especially if Hossa signs with a not so great team after this year) The other thing that makes me think he's better for my league is his faceoff wins.

im hoping for a big year from JT as well
tough to see dats or toews not in the hon mention either... i think i would rather have toews than kane.. and maybe even dats in front of zetterberg.. dats may be 2 years older, but zetterberg's health concerns me

not the greatest list ever written...top 3 are no brainers...but, IMO, the #1 spot is not a no brainer, rather; it is very debatable (in points league no; but in most other leagues a lot of people would take ovechkin over crosby (wing factor, sog factor, goals>assists factor, all around dirtiness (the good kinds of dirty) > crosby's etc...). luongo? maybe in roto where losses are a good thing to have...I mean come on..."the team is going to be better" ??? is that a september fools joke...is there such a thing?  turco on that list is also a joke...if it were for a keeper that will only last 2 years then okay I could understand how he is on the honorable mention list...nothing more though. i could go on... i just felt like blathering about something...sorry if this offends anyone. EDIT: forgot to mention my favorite player...Datsyuk...if your gunna have turco on that list how the HAY is Dats not on there...in most leagues (in other words in any league that isnt strictly points...he is arguably a top 5 choice)...his +/- is just too sick to pass up...not to mention his assists, power play points and the fact that hes on the best team in the league and will set career highs this season... |
