I'd just like to throw a comment out there for everyone's critique... Dipietro is currently on the first year of his 15 season contract. Wouldn't it be funny** if he never really fully recovers from his concussion syndrome symptoms (ala Adam Deadmarsh)?
The Isles would be screwed with his contract for 14 more seasons. My goodness. Talk about compensation for an injury incurred on the job eh?
**Obviously when I say "funny," I'm refering to the fact that the NYI would be stuck with his lengthy contract, not that it's somehow "funny" that he'd have to end his career due to an injury**

Interesting article... It's sometimes good to see how injuries can be misreported by the media (not dobber's fault obviously, as he just got his information from elsewhere).
Even so, I bet everyone in the isles organization will cringe whenever dipietro gets injured...

I made the correction. I think it might be damage control. Lots of politics between media and management in all sports leagues.
I'd be willing to guess that TSN had it right and the team just called up a buddy with newsday and them post this piece.
