someone is gonna have to explain that to me. also, why the move to weekly transactions? Does that include all lineup changes or just free agent signings? And does that mean no more yahoo?

Yahoo is still the place. It just moves to weekly. It will be the same as Maltais' Industry Expert League - we submit a bid to an independent commissioner. Say Kubina is a free agent. You bid $1 for him in an email to the commish. Someone else bids $3 on him. Deadline is Wednesday at noon. Wednesday afternoon, the commish announces the free agent pickups. Your budget remains at $100, but the Kubina winner goes down to $97. You can make the roster change for Fridays if you win. Weekly instead of daily for selfish reasons. While I look for and report the news, the other clowns are hustling to yahoo and grabbing the guys I write about. This way, if someone is at work or on the road and does not see news that is released at 2:05 until it is 4:15... he can still have a shot at the player, depending on how much he wants to bid. Right now, participants are rewarded if they are unemployed or on vacation...and punished if they are busy. (so my selfishness is only part of it haha)

PS - the bids are blind. You don't see what anyone else bids until the winning bids are announced.

Can we still change our lineups daily? I can see your logic for weekly transactions for FA - although Dobber, you need to man up and just move faster in your daily pools Is the 100 for the entire season? But I think we should be able to set our lineups on a daily basis. Will that still be possible?

Very interesting free agent system. I like it.
I confirm Fergie26 is in the Pro Division.

No, if Sidney Crosby twists his knee on Saturday, you are stuck with him until Friday. Choosing your lineup you can use my "Looking Ahead" feature, which gives you the best teams over a seven-day window in terms of the schedule. So there are no max games played settings to worry about.

how are there no max games to worry about? i don't see how weekly vs daily lineup setting would affect your max games. you still accumulate games at each position, unless you have wiped out that aspect altogether.
i really, really, really, really think we should stick with daily lineup changes. The weekly free agents thing I can live with, but I don't see the advantage of restricting lineup changes to weekly. It's a LOT less fun to tweak your lineup once a week versus every day. Especially when it comes to goaltenders.

I guess getting the news 6 hours ahead could be an advantage. Just wait until Notch reads this! He won't be happy, the man likes his free agents!

Oh wow, so it's weekly lineups as well as weekly FA snags? This is very different then I've done it in the past. The games played thing is certainly going to be a lot different now as well.
This does not bode well for me.
