My Off-Season (Part 1 of who knows)

This is the deal I am now mulling over:

I'm offering Brunette around the league. There is a bit of interest since it is such a deep league, but I think he is in the decline. Vanek is clearly the best player in the deal, but getting two 30 goal guys helps his team out as well. I now will try and scour the WW, or see if I can get any one for two trades coming back.

I'm really not big on Troy Brouwer. But good job getting a young solid LW in Vanek. Best player is Vanek, of course, but giving up the depth of Holmstrom and Sharp is pretty iffy. Nonetheless you got the better player so congrats.

I'm not that big on him either (skating sucks), but value wise he is the best I can get. I will probably try and flip him or package him up for something else. He's probably the best of the tier two Hawk prospects.

I am also banking on Muller as a RW next year. The 'Yotes will probably go with a Doan-Turris-Muller top unit. Definitely helps my team by reducing my depth at C, and having a strong RW with Mueller, Perry and Loui Eriksson.

You think that the Fabian signing with have any impact on Eriksson's developmnt next year?

nope.

After Morrow, there are no wingers ahead of Eriksson. Lehtinen is done as an offensive threat, Miettinen/Hagman are both UFA's, and Eriksson is clearly better than Brunnstrom.

Looking to move a C for a winger. Banking on Mueller getting winger status, as well. Trying to make a move for Daniel Sedin (gives me both, and he's undervalued after a down season). He is a solid roto player with good numbers across the board (besides PIM).

I'm also negotiating to get Matthias, who I think will get a prominent role starting in game one with FLA.

also working to get Purcell. Another big time sleeper.

I envy you and your league. The league I'm most active in take the summer off, it seems. So I have to wait until late August, early september, and use the pre-waiver draft week to get a flurry of moves done.

And angus, do you think Matthias will take Booth's spot in the lineup(shuffling Booth down a line) or do you figure they're going to ease him in? I know Jokinen wanted him on the team, and I think he'd be a good linemate for Jokinen, but at the same time I'm hoping they don't disturb the Booth-Weiss-Horton line that had so much chemistry last year.
