I thought everyone loved Burns.....he's so dreeeaaaaammmy.....
*ahem* All kidding aside, I don't see much point in this move. Burns has a good shot on the back end. Wouldn't it be better to try for Matt Carle, who is more of a puckmover? Or any other puckmoving type?
Then again, I don't really know much about Minny's PP setup.

The weirdest thing was the third-round pick...that's a lot to give up when he was free in three weeks. Unless THN is wrong, which happens. Maybe Risebrough owed Burke a favor?
I seriously doubt Carle is touchable.

I'd hope Carle in untouchable, since Coach Wilson had a lot to do with his lack of productivity last season.
Still, I've been hearing nasty rumblings that Doug has something in the works. I don't know if it'll be anything big/ probably just another trade for a first rounder, but obviously something or someone has to go the other way. Low chance of a player for player trade, but...I'm still holding my breath over this.

THN was right with his UFA status. I guess the rush for puck-moving (in this case puck shooting) defenseman is going to be huge.
As for Burns, he is pretty good I suppose.

How can you find out their FA status cause on nhlscap.com it says he's under contract for 1 more year. I'm sure THN is right but is there a site that you can see this for sure?

I thought I was go losing it cause I knew he was signed for another year. It's ok, first time I was right over Dobber, I"LL TAKE IT!!!!! Now I don't know about THN now. . . j/k Dobber.
