Backlund is a great pick...the guy is going to be good. Sutter is VERY high on him. He was a guy I wanted on my team...we may have to have some trade talks after the draft.
Sutter also said that Backlund isn't going to be making the team until he's ready to play on the top 2 lines. So good for you in the sense that he won't be forced to play a checking role, but bad for you as you probably have to wait one more year. (As much as I'd love him to make the team this year...)

Sure just a minute. I "Ctrl F'd", and I see now why that didn't work...you spelled it Bodeker!  Also..Damn! Kevin Porter it is. Funny how I had 3 guys shortlisted..Boedker, Wheeler, and Porter...all drafted by Phoenix! |

This one slipped by me. If I could dock myself a karma point I would! I bumped you up a couple instead! At least you were online and other picks weren't taking place. I've fixed it in the summary list.

I was kinda surprised that Boedker was "available"...guess it was too good to be true.

maybe but with the trade that bring cammaleri to cgy i was hoping he make the team maybe this year...

I just picked up Backlund in round 4 of my annual prospect draft. I never pick Flames players but I think and hope he will be someone special.

It was between Porter, MacLean or a third, 'cause I knew, or know, the three wouldn't make it back to me in the 12th round.
