I belive last year when Nylander was healthy they both played on the #1 PP

Crazynuck wrote:Backstrom has earned his spot on the top line. Nylander will play second fiddleThat would have to suck playing "second fiddle" to Backstrom and Ovechkin with Alex Semin wouldn't it? All nhl pivots should have that dilemma.

It's a good bet Nylander will be OV's centre and Nikky would line up with Semin, and all 4 plus Green would most likely make up the 1st PP unit...wow, scary good! McPhee and Boudreau have repeatedly stated Nikky and Semin are a "better" fit! Health permitting Nylander will no doubt have a huge season, 80+ pts. hmmm, I just convinced myself to make a play for him...

Nylander will be playing on the 2nd line next season. thats all there is. Backstrom and Ovie's chemistry is undeniable and they wont be broken up. As for the PP I can see Nylander being again bumped to the 2nd unless they want to really pump up the 1st unit. Clark is the wild card here IMO you could put him on the 1st line with Ovie and Backs or on the 3rd and he can play both roles. Ovie turned Clark into a 30 goal guy 2 seasons ago and it was Clark that was expected to be in that slot this past season until injury's took him out of the lineup. Kozlov will more than likely play 2RW if Clark is on the top line if not then he'll be 1RW. Strange thing is that Where Kozlov went so went the Caps Offense this past season. Kozlov on the 1st line dominated take Kozzie off there and put him with Semin and Semin went on a bit of a tear where Ovie slacked for 7 games. They're pleanty of Combos you could put together for the Caps but I think the 1 thing that is for sure is that your 1st 2 lines will be
Ovie-Backstrom-??? Semin-Nylander-???
LW and C are locks and you can take that to the bank.

Nylander will be second line center.. There is no way that they break up AO and Backstrom after what they did together when Nylander got hurt last year
