Hainsey was a healthy scratch last season, and then when he returned he went nutty. He reminds me of Nagy like that. Anyway, not the sign of a good rearguard. He won't be missed.
Backman and Commodore are No.4 defensemen. They better hope Russell and Klesla step up or they'll have no QB.
For them to make the playoffs, Brassard and/or Voracek and/or Filatov have to make the team and have an impact.
Umberger is big step up from Brule...and Huselius is a step up from Zherdev. Offensively, this team looks pretty good now.

The team improved but not near enough to jump ahead of the other teams that also improved in the West.

Both Edmonton and Chicago should stay ahead of CLB, with a team like Vancouver dropping out and who else? Colorado ... maybe?

I just don't see the Bluejackets having enough consistency to make a real run this year. 'Maybe' next year if they can get some good play out of the young guys.

I find it weird that Filatov was not named anywhere in these posts. True that he won't make the big difference next season. But I think that his addition can not be neglected even if he plays 20 games.
