Canada dominated another international event, outscoring the competition 24-10 and routing Russia 6-3 in the gold medal game of the Ivan Hlinka Memorial U-18 tournament. A strong Sweden team won the bronze.
This tournament featured many of the top prospects that will be available for the 2010 Draft including Taylor Hall (CAN), Brayden Schenn (CAN), Ryan Ellis (CAN) and Magnus Paajarvi (SWE). Paajarvi lead all scorers with 9 pts (3G+6A) while Ellis lead all defensemen with 5 pts (1G+4A). Hall and Schenn finished with 6 pts each.
