Anyone on the inside know when Yahoo! fantasy hockey will come out? It says late August but myself and my buds want to know the day! We are all very excited for the 08-09 season.

Tomorrow(the 25th) or the 28th. Tomorrow because it's the start of the last week of August, and the 28th because I think that's when it started up last year.
Either way, really soon.

I thought I read that it started up on Aug 22nd last 2 years...
in any sorts I would bet sometime this week.

The year before last it started on the 22nd (I don't know why I remember that). However, I'm pretty sure that last year was NOT on the 22nd...I think the 25th, or the 28th like mentioned...but I'm like 90% sure it was not on the 22nd.

Aye, I'm pretty sure it wasn't up on the 22nd last year. I could be wrong, but I don't think I am. My yahoo league GM is always right on top of when it starts, and his post last year to start things was on the 28th. Just like how he started the league the year before on the 22nd.
But hey. I could be wrong. If it wasn't the 28th last year it was probably the 27th.

Im pretty sure it was the 28th. For some reason, I remember that date because I was in Florida on vacation at the time filling out my big board under a palm tree, and that date stuck out to me because my trip was over 2 days later. I also remember this because I thought it was a short time between the league starting and draft night(Sept.16th).

I checked my league e-mails, and I've got one from our old commish saying the league was open as of 8/27/07 last year.

It's possible to sign up for alerts so that you get an e-mail once registration begins. Go to http://sports.yahoo.com/fantasy, then scroll down to the bottom of the list of games on the right-hand side, click on "Registration Alerts: Sign up now" and input your particulars. Only problem is, this signs you up for alerts when ANY sports game opens, not just fantasy hockey... |

hopefully they are stalling the beginning of the yahoo hockey season to clean up their stat tracker layout a little bit.. ive had the baseball and basketball stat tracker before and the hockey stat tracker looks like it was developed by a (insert punch line here)

I used it on all my yahoo pools, and it worked swimmingly. It didn't update as often(it wasn't real time, there was usually a slight delay) but it worked wonders. I'll try to find the link for people who have Firefox 2. I'd imagine there will be a new plugin made for Firefox 3.
