When does this guy get his chance? If ever...
Osgood in a contract year w/ conklin probably being a 1 and done, what is his role next year?
I'm hoping, at the least, that they see him fitting in as a "conklin" type for 09-10 and MAYBE resigning Osgood for maybe a 2 year or bringing in someone like him.
Thoughts, cause I'm thinking of dropping him rather than holding him for the entire year and keeping him. Limited keepers but where I drafted him could be a huge value considering where the "security blanket" conklin was drafted this year

Osgood isn't in a contract year. The Wings re-signed him to a three-year deal this January, so he's in the fold until 2010-11.
I'm not overly optimistic about Howard becoming starter soon, but Osgood isn't a sure bet to be healthy for three years and even if Howard managed to lock down the backup spot next year he'd be useful in fantasy terms.

Conklin is a one year stop gap until Howard comes in. I can see him splitting the games 50/50 with Ozzie next year.

My fault on the Osgood contract...guess I'm not surprised though.
In my opinion Conklin obviously had a lucky streak this past season. Going all the way back to pre-lockout, he hasn't had anything near a decent season...even in the A.
I've heard from numerous people who know him that his work ethic is very sub-par.
I'm thinking that if Osgood goes down, Conklin will return to old and Howard quickly gets a huge chance.
