Good point ultra... and don't forget some teams tend to develop prospects well and bring them up (think Phoenix?), the Rangers are not that kind of team. Dubinsky was a good find last year, but historically they have not developed a true point-producing defenseman from their own system for a very long time.
Sanguinetti and Del Zotto are both fantastic offensive d-men, but Redden for 6 years and Roszival for 4 years makes extra PP time look far, far away.

Those are great points guys
But, on the other hand teams have shown a willingness to move salary and let the young guys play in order to deal with their cap issues, so who knows. What looks like a log jam now could clear in a hurry.

for sheezy mbrown. exactly right. while on the surface it looks like karlsson has less obstacles in his path, especially with meszaros out of there, anything could change in a few years.
personally, i would pick del zotto out of these two guys in a pool. i think that he'll get more attention, and thus have more value, over the next two years.
