every time i try to watch a game it says it's blacked out and i can only get the game audio.
what a farce.

I had nothing but problems either... when games did work the audio never matched the play.
pretty bad first impression...

yeah after the whole blacked out thing where i was getting audio, i then signed up to my nhl.com account that i set up a couple weeks ago in anticipation of the gamecenter free preview and then i got absolutely nothing.
leave it to the nhl to eff something like that up. first our shift charts and now this.

yeah, I had the same problem here also. Black screen and nothing (except stats)... And on top of that, I don't have the quickest internet connection, so I don't think I'll be able to enjoy the free week-end  |

Every video feed was blacked out for me, but I got all the audio no problem. I e-mailed them just as outlined on their help page and have heard nothing, nor was a remedy applied before the end of the night.
I remember reading that when they launched it last season their site got overwhelmed in the first few days or something, could this be the case here?
EDIT - The stats were also all wonky - started off okay but most games froze before the second period.

Anybody thinking of buying this for $200 for the season?

nope, i'm in ontario and on a mac that's less than a year old with a pretty fast connection, so i'm stumped as to why it didn't work for me. i also read all the cases where a game might be blacked out and none of them applied to me last night.
ps - shao i could and sometimes do watch your avatar for hours. much better than the ninja star thing you used to sport.
