Not counting PIM and +/- tips this in favor of Kopitar, I think.

Pts. only... Kopitar hands down... Perry is a 40/40 guy at best, whereas Kopitar will be a 100 pt. threat the year after this.

Perry has a ceiling of 85 pts and thats really pushing it, where as Kopitar will prob nail 86 this year and hit the mid 90's next year.

Even if it included PIM's, it would have to reward pretty nicely to make up for the difference in points Kopitar would give you.
Although I'm not a fan of Perry, his totals last year were 54 points and 108 PIM's.
His upside isn't that high and he's not that pure of a point producer.
Kopitar got 77 points and 22 PIM's. If you take a long look at the points ratio, upsides, and the fact that 86 PIM's difference last year (assuming 0.2 points per PIM) only gives an edge of 17 pts that Kopitar would beat.
I mean close, but Kopitar all the way.

Well, I pick Kopitar. Part of me wonders if he'll get more assists as the team improves.
I don't think this question is as silly as some of the others have let on though. Perry has always had a ton more assists than goals. Consistently 1 goal and almost 2 assists.
60 47 83 130 117 his last Jr. season. If he continues to learn to compensate for his average skating, I wonder that 50+ assists is quite possible. Thus his upper window may be a little higher than some give credit. For now though, he's coming off a 54 point season.
Kopitar is doing it. Perry hopes to do it.
