My "Other" Experts Draft

I was pleased as punch to receive an invite from Eric Maltais, who recently joined us from Talented Mr. Roto, to his long running experts league. The league consists of 15 teams and has a similar format to our Dobber pools. Considering the fact that it is comprised of experts from Yahoo, CBS, TSN, Rotowire, Fanball, Mckeens, Rototimes, Rotoworld, & Sports Illustrated, I was more than honored to accept his invitation. Our draft took place Thursday evening, and I must say I am more than excited about my team. I had the 14th overall selection, and my draft results are posted below. Nice final pick - I didn't know he was LW in Yahoo - that makes it even better. Nice flyer on Bernier too. I think you'll do me proud! See if you can top my fourth from a year ago (I was first all year and blew it at the end, thanks to injuries...followed by bad luck).

Here's hoping the Flyers first line wreaks offensive mayhem this year.

I was wondering how long it would take one of you junkies to pick that out. Well done and yes, c'mon Flyer's top line.

Here are my picks. As you can see I selected third overall and went the goaltending route as a priority.

Love my goalies and my D, like me centers and left wingers, although I need one more LW (Carcillo is there just to rack up PIMs). Don't like my right wingers though so I'll be keeping a close eye on the waiver wire.

The settings are slightly tweaked from the default roto. Read Eric's column for more details on the entire draft. I agree on my D, but I figure I can make a deal for a couple solid d-men with my depth at forward. It also seems that 2 or 3 D have surprise seasons each year, and with my number 2 waiver priority I'm confident I can land one of them.
