Oilers Trade Arcobello for Roy

Fantasy Impact: The Edmonton Oilers have acquired center Derek Roy from Nashville in exchange for center Mark Arcobello.
The Oilers get: an experienced, but declining center in Derek Roy. He hasn’t been the same since quad surgery in December of 2010. Prior to that surgery, you could count on him to be a top-line center who tallies 70 points. Since then, he has been a 40-point player who struggles just to stay in the lineup. The Oilers could have had Roy for free via waivers this morning, but decided that they needed to free up a contract and a bit of cap space (each team gets a maximum of 50 contracts).
