Justin Williams has a torn ACL that will require surgery and he is out for the rest of the regular season.

Today's Hockey News article is up – I have some great insights on there that you will be interested in. Or you can wait a few days and I will post the article here.

Daniel Carcillo got a game misconduct last night, but he also apparently suffered a lower body injury in the fight. No further word beyond that.

If you are in a roto league that requires weekly moves, don't forget about "A Roto-Look Ahead", DobberHockey's feature that gives you your best bets in terms of the quality of the schedule for each team, as well as which teams to steer clear from during the one-week window. Check out Looking Ahead.

Dustin Brown will be out until after Christmas with a shoulder injury. The injury is not serious, if it were a playoff game he would play.

Nagy will be back in the LA lineup tonight. He missed seven with a hip flexor injury. He will play with Frolov and Handzus.

Sidney Crosby scored the Gordie Howe hat trick last night, with a goal, two assists and his first NHL fight. Colby Armstrong added three assists as Michel Therrien put Crosby, Malkin and Armstrong together for the game. Cha-ching for Colby owners if that lasts. It probably won't.

For the first time in 10 years, 51 weeks a player scored five goals in a game. Congrats, Marian Gaborik owners.

Rookie Karri Ramo, making his first start of the season Thursday, faced off against countryman Vesa Toskala in a duo of Finnish goaltenders. Ramo won the battle, stopping 31 of 32 shots for the 2-1 win.

Brian Pothier will be out for several weeks after suffering a fractured thumb last night.

Mike Smith will get the start tonight for Dallas.

Glen Murray left last night's game with what was reportedly a "minor" "middle-body" injury. Phil Kessel moved up to the top line with Savard and Sturm. Milan Lucic took Murray's spot on the top PP.

Justin Williams suffered a left knee injury last night and will be out indefinitely. More info as it becomes known.

From the Tennesean: Predators fans continue to wonder whether they'll see the return of talented forward Steve Sullivan, but Poile said nothing is imminent. Sullivan has been out since February and underwent back surgery twice over the summer. When I saw him Monday, he was optimistic and feeling good, but again, it was the same exercises,'' Poile said. "Maybe he's doing them with a little more intensity, maybe for a little longer and maybe there is more aerobic activity on a daily basis. But nothing that would lead you to a conclusion that he would be playing hockey real soon.''

Mike Van Ryn had surgery Tuesday on his wrist for the third time and will be on the shelf for eight to 10 weeks.

Cory Murphy's bone scan showed no damage, so all he can do is continue to wait. It's sore, but the soreness has no explanation.

With Cam Barker now with the big club, Dusin Byfuglien is back up on the wing.

Joe Sakic's gron injury is still causing tremendous discomfort and he is not expected back  before early January. You could probably put your money on another 10 games (he's missed 10 already)
Ryan Smyth's stiff neck will keep him out of the lineup tonight. As a result, Brunette's role will increase, as will Svatos, Wolski and Hensick.
