Justin Williams is pointless in his last six contests.

Florida's David Booth has five in his last three. He is on pace for 50 on the year which is where I think he'll end up.

Brandon Dubinsky has four points in his last four games and he began the year with nine in nine. That means he had eight points in 26 games in between.

Since he was a healthy scratch, Clarke MacArthur has notched seven points in seven games.

Jonathan Toews has 22 points in his last 23 games, after stumbling out the gate with six in 11.

I'm noticing that David Clarkson either gets you points or he gets you PIMs. He doesn't seem to do both. He has six points in his last 10 games, but just six PIMs in that span. Prior to that, he was pointless in six games but had 21 PIMs. Prior to that, he had four points in five games and zero PIMs.

Dominic Moore is on pace for a career high of 42 points. He has six in his last six, and the Leafs seem to love him. His legs are always moving, that's for sure. And yes, I think he can be a 40-point player.

Give Steve Mason THREE shutouts in a row. Not too shabby: 12-7-1, 1.69, .938 and 5 SO on the season. He's a great goalie to own on any team – but on a Hitchcock team he is absolute gold. Remember last year when Leclaire had something like seven shutouts in the first three or four weeks? That's a Hitchcock team, and Mason is even better.

Zach Bogosian was back in the lineup and played just over 13 minutes. He was a minus-1 and was not part of the PP.

Curtis Glencross was back in the Calgary lineup. He was pointless. The player who benefitted most from his absence, Rene Bourque, was pointless and a minus-3.

The Oilers recalled Gilbert Brule, but he didn't play more than nine minutes last night. He replaced Pouliot in the lineup, who has a concussion.

Denis Grebeshkov had a four-point effort to lead the Oil offense. He is still manning the second PP unit though.

The Habs sent Ben Maxwell and Ryan O'Byrne to the AHL.

The Leafs have recalled Jiri Tlusty from the AHL. Tlusty is pointless in his last four AHL contests, but prior to that had a run of seven in four. He'll replace Williams, who is out with a shoulder injury.

Bryzgalov missed last night's contest with a back injury and the Yotes recalled Josh Tordjman. Brygalov is day to day.

Dallas recalled Ivan Vishnevsky from the AHL, but did not dress him last night. He is ranked 375 on my fantasy prospects list, and is one of the better offensive d-men prospects out there. He has 12 points in 32 AHL contests, and seems to be a good three seasons away from becoming a fantasy asset.

Happy New Year!
