Crawford

With Corey Crawford’s sixth straight win on Sunday night against the feeble Calgary Flames, the Chicago Blackhawks are very close to having a controversy on their hands. And although there are many ways the Blackhawks can handle their goalies in a positive manner moving forward, many questions surround both Crawford and Marty Turco’s short and long-term fantasy value.

J.P. From Japer's Rink (@JapersRink) Tweeted the exact numbers - Perreault has seven points in four "first game after recall" opportunities.   Let's kick things off with my buddy Mathieu Perreault. Two goals, no power-play time, and 13 minutes of ice time. If he's been recalled five times in his career (not sure), I [...]

Stamkos has no goals in his past six games.   Johan Harju has two points in his past two games for the Lightning. He was dominating the AHL before getting recalled by the team.   He isn’t seeing much ice time right now, but if he continues to produce, that will change.   An [...]

Shattenkirk

It’s been a good month for 21-year-old Colorado Avalanche defenceman, Kevin Shattenkirk.  Maybe for you too, if you were savvy enough to snag him early.  But that would put you in the minority.  For the rest of us, we’ve had to watch in increasing awe as the young defender racked up 14 points in his first 15 games in the NHL.

Tavares

It’s no secret amongst NHL fans that the Islanders’ perils on the ice have resulted in the once proud franchise being relegated to perennial basement dweller. While the franchise continues to toil in a state of flux both on and off the ice, there are still those who remain cautiously optimistic. After all, with a cupboard of young players like John Tavares, Kyle Okposo, Josh Bailey, Nino Niederreiter and a plethora of promising young defensemen, what’s not to like?

Lucic

In my article for Week 5 of the NHL season, I looked at the defensive tendencies at home vs. on the road for the 30 NHL clubs. What kind of analysis would that be if I didn’t do a follow up look now that we are in Week 10?

Dobber took some pictures of the event and he will post them up tomorrow. He's flying back to Toronto right now.   Biggest surprise about Jeff Tambellini - his physical play. He isn't big, but he finishes his checks. In leagues that count hits, his value is pretty good. He's been a great surprise, [...]
